How can you not love a pizza place that makes huge pizzas with nice thin crusts? DiMille's is nice for thick-crust pizzas, but Mama Mia's rules for good old thin-crust. interesting decor too.

Mamma Mia's is absolutley some of the best pizza on Adams Ave - wicked good.

They make medium thick crusts - perfect and crispy with just a bit of dough inside, enough to provide some contrast but not enough to make you gnaw like a horse, you know? The sauce is sharp and thick, not sweet or chemical-ly or bland. It is bold but perfectly balanced, and they always make it the same way.

But the most perfect thing about Mamma Mia pizza is the cheese. Fresh from the delivery case it is melty but firm, it is golden brown, it is a thing of somewhat reliable perfection. It is even better, of course, sitting at the table in the shop with your lovers or children or friends, it does so well cold for breakfast I have considered buying an extra pie specifically for this purpose.

You won't find chicken breasts, pesto or sundried tomato artichoke toppings on the list at Mamma Mia's, but you will find a most excellent gyro and some yummy  crispy fries. I haven't tried the burgers but the falafel is good too, as is the crispy-soft, halved french bread style garlic bread.

Extra points for being nice to our toddler when we go in person and remembering my voice and address after only the second time calling for delivery, and never any clueless, bored and generally irritating teenagers answering the phone when you call.

I have tried the other pizza place(s) on Adams in Normal Heights but this place is my favorite. Save the mail flyer the next time you get it in your box Cheesy!

Price is right and food is delicious!!! Great customer service and friendly staff will serve you quickly. Thumbs up!!! Grin Grin Grin
